Tallulah and I wanted to climb an active volcano so we decided to make the day and a half trek through the rainforest along some barely passable roads that hung on to some sketchy cliffs.
With the help of a few locals and some “chicken buses” we arrived at our final destination just as hurricane Ronald/Michelle/Rene made landfall and covered everything in rain, fog and mud. Climbing was out of the question but experiencing mother nature in all her awesome glory was pretty amazing as we stayed warm in the natural hot springs that run out of the mountain.
